The Vooshwo Story
Vooshwo — Rose in the Irigwe language.
A rose is delicate in appearance, yet resilient in nature. It grows among thorns, enduring wind, weather, and time—still choosing to bloom. Vooshwo draws from this symbolism.
The Rose We Know
At the heart of this story is Jummai Nache.
Her life embodies the spirit of the rose: gentle in presence, yet unwavering in strength.
Through seasons of hardship and resilience, she has remained a symbol of quiet grace—someone who continues to bloom regardless of circumstance.
Vooshwo was created in honor of that spirit.
Rooted in Miango
The story of Vooshwo is also rooted in Miango, Plateau State, where roses grow naturally across the landscape.
It is the land that shaped Jummai’s story—and in turn, shaped the inspiration behind this collection.
Through heritage, memory, and place, Vooshwo reflects the beauty and resilience of the women who come from this region.
Craft & Design
Each piece in the Vooshwo collection is designed and crafted in the Kyan Atelier studio in Houston.
Every design is created with intention, reflecting the balance between delicacy and strength that defines the spirit of the rose.
A Tribute
Vooshwo is more than a collection.
It is a tribute to resilience.
To grace that endures.
To beauty that continues to bloom.
A tribute to the rose we know.
